Hello, I’m Erini. I am currently a PhD student at Caltech studying biochemistry and molecular biophysics. I am broadly interested in host-microbe interactions,  particularly latent viruses in humans and endophytic fungi in arid environments.

I’m a California native. I was born and raised in Orange County, attended college in Davis, and, for now, am residing in Glendale. I like to be outside and seek to better understand the endemic wildlife of the state. The coastal chaparral and desert are my favorite biomes, with an emphasis on mycology and native flowers. Beyond, I enjoy analog photography, walking/cycling/driving aimlessly, birding, the hours of dusk, drawing comics about bees, clouds, inventing new ways to prepare tofu, and being by the ocean.
